According to data, since Croatia became a member of the European Union and was allowed access to European labour markets between 2013 and 2016, 22,000 people have abandoned this country.

The average age of immigrants fell after 2013 from 41.5 to 33.6 years, according to a recent study by the Zagreb Institute for Public Finances.
According to some projections, by 2050, Croatia could remain without 800,000 residents, while at the same time it would need a million new workers, writes Al Jazeera.
