In the near future, pills for men will be a reality. The experiment leaves no doubt: The impact of the pill on testosterone reduces male fertility levels.
The news comes from the United States, where a group of researchers at the University of Washington have studied with several pills taken through oral use. They promise to reduce the level of fertility in men, which can replace condoms. That's why it's considered a contraception revolution.
Study
The participants in the study were divided into 3 groups, those who received 100, 200 and 400 milligrams of the pill in question. The pill was taken for 28 days, once a day after lunch. At the beginning and at the end of the test, researchers received blood samples to assess cholesterol and hormones.
Side effects
The analysis showed that all subjects had a slight increase in weight and a reduction of good cholesterol, while kidney function was normal.
For males who received the highest amount of pill, a decrease in testosterone has been observed, making them faithful in its operation.
