The dog that Vuciq gave to Putin is not Sharri's "Datalar Ilir" is protected by law

Following recent developments when the debate on the autochthon race at Delta Ilir, also known as the Sharre Dog, has been put into media attention and interest in his status has increased the Agency for Protection of the Environment of Kosovo, announces the broad opinion that this race is protected by law.

Protection has occurred since 2014, within activities to protect natural and autochthonic heritage values. At the time with the initiative of the Institute for Nature Protection, which operates under the Kosovo Environment Protection Agency, they also draft two decisions to protect the soft types of wildlife.

Through these two separate decisions, they have been defended: The Rica of Deltari Ilir, the domestic type of domestic tender, and the Kosovar Rooster's Long-Singing, kind of domestic tender. The main purpose of making such decisions was to protect these types by law and determine the conditions for maintaining them.

These decisions were also designed to protect these species from the danger of mixing genetics with foreign races and from the risk of getting rid of the land of these deliberately interracial races. According to these two decisions, these two types of autochtons are registered in the register of protected natural values that is maintained by the Kosovo Institute for Nature Protection.

The decision also contains reason for taking these species in defense, as well as describing their basic characteristics. The design of reasonableness for the autochthonic race of Delta Ilir has been made in co-operation with the Kosovo Kinological Association.
