That's what European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijanciq said in a proposal for Telegrafi.
Kocijancic has indicated that the two states should commit to high-level dialogue, to continue in a timeline as soon as possible.
According to her, continuing talks between Pristina and Belgrade is directly related to the European prospects of the two states.
“Retim, agenda and dialogue format are determined by both sides. So far, no meeting has been scheduled in the near future. The European Union expects Serbia and Kosovo to engage as soon as possible in dialogue, given the direct link between normalisation of relations and concrete prospects, in their aspirations towards the EU”, Kocijanciq has said of Telegrafi.
The latter has once again reiterated the European Union's stance that the tax imposed on Serbia and Bosnia is contrary to CEFTA and the SAA.
In Kocijanciki's response, it has been known, that at the Negotiator Team meeting with Mogher two days ago, it has been demanded that the emergency “be withdrawn on the tax”
“As to the fee our position is clear: The Kosovo Government's decision to impose a 100% tax on products of Serbia and Bosnia is a clear violation of the Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) and the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and Kosovo. The high representative, Federica Moghrini, has also reiterated at the January 8th emergency meeting for this tax to withdraw”, says the European Commission's spokeswoman in response.
Despite calls from the EU, and the recent meeting of the Kosovo delegation with Moghrin, Prime Minister Haradinaj is not expressing his willingness to withdraw the tax decision.
“We are willing today to remove the tax, if Serbia recognises us”, Haradinaj had said during Tuesday, at a news conference.
Just for these developments, in Kosovo over the coming days, Angelina Eichhorst, director of the Foreign Affairs Service at Mogher's office, is expected to stay.
