American Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costnett has spoken in a public media interview for the ultimatum that the US have imposed on Kosovo to suspend the tax.
Costett in an interview for an interactive show on KTV, US Ambassador Philip Costett, has said that if that doesn't happen, the interests of Kosovo and the US will be damaged.
Kostett has ruled out the possibility of any economic sanctions on Kosovo, but has said he remains the Kosovo leadership to assess whether he wants to maintain his friendship with America.
“We strongly believe that the temporary suspension of the tax as soon as possible will help move the process forward. If that does not happen, there is risk of total loss of momentum, which will be very harmful to the people of Kosovo and Serbia and will also be harmful to the US and the European Union. The question is not whether Kosovo has the right to set the fee, but the question is whether it is a good decision for Kosovo and the US”, he was quoted as saying on KTV, Periscopi broadcasts./Periscope
