Tome Gashi, Sylejman Selimi's lawyer, former commander of the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK), has confirmed to Periscope that his client is in poor health and is located at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.

Gen Selimi's health situation for years has deteriorated, he has been in medical treatment at CKUKU in Pristina since 05.12.2018<18x1>, he said.

However, media had reported last night that because of this situation, Selimi is not known if he will be able to respond to the Special Prosecutor's Prosecutor's Office in The Hague. While alluding that he has received an invitation for an interview by the Special at The Hague.

But that was denied by lawyer Tome Gashi.

General Sylejman Selimi, former UCK Chief of General Staff, has never been invited by the Special Prosecutor's Office to interview in The Hague. All official contacts in the form written with the Special Prosecutor's Office for his interview in Pristina are leading me and American lawyers Gregor Guy Smith and Colleen Rohan. We, the team of lawyers are negotiating with the Special Prosecutor's Office for Mr. Sylejman Selimi in Pristina for an indefinite date when his state of health normalises!”, Gashi said. /Periscopi
