The decision on the 100% tax issue towards Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina products has also prompted a meeting between the last delegations and the state of Kosovo to begin in Sarajevo.
The delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo will talk about the tax decision, while besides officials of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations on both sides, part of this meeting in Sarajevo are CEFTA representatives.
A representative of the Albanian Finance Ministry is also reported to be present at the meeting.
Bosnia and Herzegovina becomes aware that it has been damaged by $ 4.5m since the Kosovo government has introduced taxes on their products, Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Minister Mirko Savovic has told Bosnian media.
On 21 November, Kosovo imposed a 100% tax fee on all goods produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, exacerbating the 10% preliminary decision, which was imposed on 6 November.
According to reports by Serbian and Bosnian officials, the tariffs are contrary to the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA), of which the three territories are signatories.
Kosovo's government, led by Ramush Haradinaj, has issued similar tariffs ahead and regularly claims that its products are not treated equally in the markets of other CEFTA members, claiming that the tax could be lifted 100% only when Serbia recognises Kosovo citizenship, Klan Kosova reports.
