However, if the baby is waking you up all the time with the cry, then that could be a good sign, at least according to scientists.
According to research by the University of Bristol, babies who don't sleep all night are smarter than those that sleep until morning.
Professor Peter Fleming, who at the university works on infant health and psychological development.
He has suggested that babies are not designed to sleep for long periods. According to him, it is not good for the baby to do this, and there is no evidence that they benefit if they sleep longer.
