Apple had held talks with Samsung and MediaTex beside Intel on the 5G fashion supply for iPhone 2019.
During 2011 and 2016 Apple use Qualcomm chips to connect iPhones with mobile and wireless networks.
From 2016 the company also started using intel chips and in 2018 because of a legal battle with Qualcomm only used intel.
A company executive said on Friday that Apple had considered MediaTek and Samsung, one of the biggest rivals, to be supplied with chips for the 5G networks.
The first 5G networks will come next year and will significantly increase the speed of networks compared to those 4G.
Still, it is not known what this year's iPhone company will do if it is to launch one with 5G.
According to Bloomberg, this is unlikely to happen before 2020.
