Kosovo has become nests for robbers in recent months. Armed robbery has terrorised employees and clients of banks and markets.
During the next week, during efforts to rob a bank in Istog, a robbery suspect and a Kosovo policeman lost their lives during a field crash.
A day later, masked robbers robbed a bank in Fushe Kosovo, until during the days ahead for each day it was investigated armed robbery mainly in shopping centres in Pristina, but also in other Kosovo cities.

After a gunfight with an Istog robbery suspect in late 2018, police officer Izet Demaj was also killed. The murder of two robbery suspects has not intimidated other people who have continued to deal with this crime.
The Bureau for Information in the Kosovo Police (PK) has told “Zrin” that since January-November 2018 in Kosovo, 263 cases of criminal work have been recorded “Grabije”. Although we are in the early days of 2019 some private businesses, some people have been a target of robbery these days.
According to the 24-hour Kosovo Police report, only on January 3rd of 2019 were four robberies reported, three in Pristina and one in Fushe Kosovo. One of the robberies was also armed. And on January 1st of this year in the village of Kodrali in Decani, a theft had remained on the attempt.
“During 2017 the entire territory of the country has been recorded 290 cases of criminal activity 50, whereas last year from January 1st to November 30, 263 such cases have been recorded. Robbery is committed under various circumstances, but the most serious cases of robbery are armed cases.
The robbers have also had various limits, such as businesses, banks, residential homes and even the theft of items by hand or arm, telephone robbery or arm bags”, the Kosovo Police Information Office has said.
She has announced that during 2018 in the Pristina municipality she has arrested 32 people suspected of “Grabije”, until six suspected persons are still on the run.
