Ahmeti has said “The struggle for workers' rights should not be stopped in any sector ever, but sometimes collateral damage is greater than immediate profit”.
“Communs in the Republic of Kosovo do not determine the level of salaries in the public sector. However, we are responsible for pre-university education in our municipalities. So with concern, along with our children and parents, we are attending the strike that left the empty classes, and the children at home” said Ahmeti.
“As the Pristina Committee, we appeal to teachers to find the way for children not to lose learning. The struggle for workers' rights should never be stopped in any sector, but sometimes collateral damage is greater than immediate profit”, he has said further.
This post comes after Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's bid to raise wages of 10 per cent stop strikers. The Government's offer was rejected by the SBASK, which requires increased cofficiency for educational workers to 30 percent.
