600 new jobs will be opened in Suhareka, says Chairman Bali Muarremaj

In a year of governance at Suhareka's helm for Chairman Bali Muharremaj has been worked out in the entire mandate.

He in an interview for Kosovo has shown the successes and challenges during the year we leave behind.

Muharremaj considers his work to be seen, stressing infrastructure investments, as well as opening the 2.3m-euro Industrial Zone, which will in a short time add 600 new jobs to Suhareka.

Important for Muharremey is the construction of four new health houses, as well as the completion of projects on road regulation.

The priorities I had and the promises I gave during last year's campaign have occurred that many problems we've overcome since the first year. Starting with health, those I promised arrived a month ago, we issued four new health houses. We've got 50 new employees, we've started working on two shifts... There are about eighty projects in the city in completion, one in the same way and in the villages. The Suhareka municipality numbers 42 villages, so far only in three villages has not been worked, no other village that is no work this year... this year we have realised over three hundred projects, we are closing them, as if they could say, is that I promised two rings. We've finished the first ring of the city, starting the second ring, but we've got three rings to make this warrant. We started school with the municipal budget, we started the municipal budget gym”, he said.

Regarding the floods that took place early in 2018, Suhareka's first one said they have managed to receive about 1.1m euros from the government. According to him, these money are transparently shared.

We've arrived to take over 1.1m euros to pay the damage to the house and we've shared four hundred thousand euros from the municipality, where we're fixing two channels, for reasons not to flood the city of Suhareka. So, so far we've reached over 900 families of aid in the house, and so far we've only had six complaints, no more... All indiscriminately, did he work in Switzerland in Germany, or in Italy this time we didn't break up and once I say we paid off eighty percent, not a hundred percent”, Muharremaj said.

The first one in Suhareka says that the difference with government is in agricultural interest, according to him, by the previous years the budget has increased by a hundred percent.

“We have started, it is a major project, the industrial zone is one of the best areas in Kosovo. Somewhere the value is over 2.3m euros, and this mandate I believe has to be complete. As it turns out, about a hundred new jobs are expected to be added to this year's agriculture, and we've increased the budget by a hundred percent, and we've got six agricultural experts working six months on the ground. They've been giving farmers advice, they've classified the land for what these farmers should do. We've made the division of the greenhouses for the first time this year we've divided the greenhouses with five golds, we've had no complaints. Before we shared there was a bear, it was much bigger competition, but this year we said not a bear, but five, because with five golds there was economic development, there was no complaint. Next year, we change, we're interested in planting vineyards started with vineyards, we'll give them five gold vineyards”, Chairman Muharremaj added.

Despite these investments, he says that problematic is the youth's lack of interest in physical work. He claims he has no interest in the job of the waiter and the cook.

Muharremaj points out that there are companies that have been looking for workers in several villages, but cannot find out.

We have many young people, especially economic and judicial, who are waiting for work. But for a physical worker, we have a problem finding him in Suhareka. We have a problem with waiters, cooks, and we have a problem finding workers who are in our municipality, who are looking for construction workers every year... not lacking will, but they don't want to do physical work. We had requests in the village of Novobiq, some companies came looking for workers, we couldn't find them. We have the mustic textile factory that looked for women to go to work, we couldn't find them. We've had for the preservation and maintenance of every village there's a worker, in some villages we haven't been able to find a worker who paid for about 300 euros, but it's got a job contract and we haven't been able to find”, Muharmaj concluded.
