Witness Lec Gradica is decorated with the Kosovo Order “Hero”

In the village of Gradica in Drenasa, a memorial academy has been held today for the 20th anniversary of the fall of witness Lec Gradica, which was given the title “Hero of Kosovo”.

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini said Dr. Lec Gradica has been the image of humanity and homeland love.

Wessel called Lec Gradica legendary doctor, and said he gave his life so that others could continue the struggle for freedom.

It is the birthplace of Dr. Leci, the legendary Kosovo Liberation Army doctor. All the martyrs of freedom are the same, because they have the same ideal for which they were sacrificed, they gave their lives to their homeland. But when we have a doctor and a martyr among them, it gets a special dimension. Dr. Leci was among the first to respond to the call of freedom, he was the physician of the wounds of freedom and eventually became a witness to it”, Wessel said.

On behalf of President Hashim Thaci, his adviser, Ismajl Syla, spoke, who said Gradica was worth a modest man.

He also shared gratitude for Lec Gradica's family, sharing the title “Hero of Kosovo”.

“Doctor Leci was worth, was heir to a highly respected family, was a modest man, and therefore his values cannot be erased. The pearls are said to be thrown into mud, but the mud is removed and shined. Today, I have the honor of giving the doctor's family Order “Hero of Kosovo”, who has divided it to Dr. Lecin”, Syla said.

And Dr. Leci's fellow fighter, Naim Bardiqi, said it is difficult to describe the work of Lec Gradica, and the witness called it one of the most dominant KLA figures.

“One of the most dominant figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army was certainly Dr. Leci, who, with his activity, intelligence, knowledge he had and all his family's wealth, joined his wife, were given the homeland, sacrificing his life, becoming an example for all generations to come after”, Bardiqi said.

And Dr. Letz's daughter, a professional doctor, Glorious Les, said that she feels proud to remember how many lives her father has saved. She indicated that during the war very few had seen her father, as he was dealing with the wounded, and said he taught her homeland.

My father taught me how to love my decision and how to help people in need. He had also an unmovable humanity, and an inherited homeland, because he was very aware of how freedom is won, because sublimate sacrifices only make those who know how freedom is earned”, Les said.

Present at this academy was the chairman of Drenas, Ramiz Ladrovci, who said that Dr. Leci did his education well, helping him. U n CK's but even beyond that.

And historian Besim Morina spoke of Dr. Lez's schooling and said that he had made numerous medical visits even for needy families. Morina said Dr. Lec Gradica is an example of how Hippocrates ' oath should be taken. This memorial academy was organised under the auspices of Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Wessel.
