Culture Director in the Pristina municipality, once a member of Vetevendosje, Yll Rugova, has again called on LDK officials to come out to protest on 29 September. While Isa Mustaf's party has rejected Vetevendosje's invitation to co-organised the protest, it continues to hold out hope that the LDK through informal forms can support the protest.
According to Rugova, despite the fact that the LDK has not formally supported the protest, according to him, top party officials, including its chairman, have been in protest.
“The LDK formally did not join the 29 September protest. But the party's chairman, with many of her leading acts openly, has been for these protests (exploitation here makes Lutfi Haziri and some other). Individually, figures, members and supporters of this subject must be there at the September 29th protest. Not only because the cause is of the central importance but also because it should be given an example that we as a people unite when it is important historical moments. On 29 in the protest, regardless of the” party, Rugova wrote on Facebook.
However, Vetevendosje has never invited the Social Democrat Party to join the protest, although it is the opposition party and opposes President Hashim Thaci's bid for border correction with Serbia.
The reasons for this are the incurable resentment of the VV leadership with PSD officials, who, several months ago, left Vetevendosje to continue their political journey with another party. Vetevendosje LDK has often considered it as harmful to Kosovo as the PDK, but that does not prevent it from praying for co-operation, despite its continued refusal. /Periscopi/
