This year's tourist season, most secure in Albanian tourism history

Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj suggested during a meeting for tourism in Vlora that during this tourist season, more than 1,000 police forces, additional operations, and police posts, which have remained 24 in the service of vacationers.

We promised three months ago at the start of this season that we would have a very quiet and very orderly season, as well as preventing criminal acts. I certainly believe that with a better police body and it is a fact that we activated over 1,000 police troops, additional tools available to them, establishing a series of police residence stations, such as in Theth, Valbone, Tale, Lallez Bay, Ksamil etc., and significantly increased police services without uniform and police services by light means on beach territories. As a result, this was a safe and devoid of consequences in tourist areas as well as a significant decline in thefts on beach territories”, Xhafaj stressed.

State police in co-operation with local government have taken all measures to prevent accidents caused by water engines, establishing informative signs as well as clearly determining where water engines can circulate. / A T S/
