Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has indicated he has held a conversation with US counterpart Donald Trump in New York today in Washington.
In addition to the Trump, with which a photograph has been conducted, Thaci has also said he has talked to his administration officials, including US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Wes Mitchell and US Ambassador to the United Nations Organisation Nikki Haley.
According to Thaci, Trump has told him that “Kosovo is a wonderful country, with a wonderful people, deserving of moving faster than”.
Trump “feels and knows the Kosovo problem”, Thaci stressed in an interview for Kosovo Radio Television.
Trump and his administration officials have expressed “a powerful support for Kosovo”, the president of Kosovo has said.
President Trump's “Administration strongly supports Kosovo, the fastest travel in NATO and the EU”, he has stressed.
“E deeply appreciates the eternal friendship of Kosovo citizens with the US... At the same time, it highly recognises the work being done even in the light, critical”, Thaci said.
Administration officials Trump have assessed, according to Thaci, that “Kosovo is in the right direction and is taking on its responsibilities”.
The Trump administration “supports the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, reaching a historic agreement, meaning mutual recognition of Kosovo-Serbia”, Thaci has said.
During the interview, however, he has mentioned his idea for “correction of the” border between Kosovo and Serbia.
