Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has hosted today a delegation of Austrian Parliament deputies, led by Stefan Schnöll.
President Thaci and Austrian MPs have talked about bilateral co-operation between Kosovo and Austria, visa liberalisation, dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as the process of Kosovo integration and the region into the European Union.
“We are making efforts to reach a peaceful agreement with the Serb side in Brussels. It's very hard to find compromise, but it's not impossible. This compromise must be reached for the sake of peace, stability and the common Euro-Atlantic future of our citizens and countries”, Thaci has said.
On the other hand, Austrian MPs also stressed that only through dialogue and European vision can peace and stability be strengthened in the Western Balkans.
President Thaci thanked Austrian MPs for their continued support for Kosovo, adding that thanks to the support of Kosovo's friendly states, our citizens will soon move visa-free to the Schengen area, where they will feel equal to all within the large European family.
