Modric reached the World's final with Croatia's nationals, as he won the Champions League for the third time in a row with Real Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo did not achieve more than 1/16 in Russia, but was co-player with Modric in the triple winning of the Champions League.
If we rely on individual statistics, the Portuguese attacker should have won the FIFA award. The latter has been overly criticised for pricing. /Periscopi/
