The festival was the first to take part in 11 amendments from throughout the Balkans and two others -- from the Arbeers of Italy and Poland.
However, the guests did not gather in numbers when invited. That is because Serbia had denied participation in an organisation in which the Kosovo flag is raised, Klan Kosova reports.
Serbia's Embassy in Tirana had even asked the organiser not to allow the Kosovo flag to be raised, if they want ansemble from Serbia to take part in the festival.
This festival's organiser, producer Sokol Gonga, is considering this absurd demand and contrary to art principles.
Even though Serbia removed its artists from the race, Gunga had demanded that they stay at least to attend the festival closely.
Serbia's “Artists were wonderful, real artists, extraordinary dancers, and why not if they were in the race, they could also be contenders for the grand prize Bulgaria won”, the producer wrote in response.
