Until mass deployment and participation of Chinese and Mongol armies in maneuvers called “Vostok 2018” (Land 2018), organised from September 11th to September 17th in eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East, comes to conflict with continued tensions with the West due to the Ukraine crisis, the Syria conflict, and a large number of allegations of involvement in Western politics, writes the Croatian newspaper “Vecernji List”.
The Russian Army has compared this demonstration of power to “West 81<18x1>, the military exercises in which 40 years ago were mobilised between 100 and 150,000 soldiers from the Warsaw Pact in Eastern Europe, which were the largest maneuvers ever organised in the Russian era.
In exercises “Vostok 2018”, the entire modern Russian Army rapper -- Iscander missiles, which can carry nuclear heads, T80 and T90 tanks and SU34 and SU35 aircraft -- will take part.
At sea, the Russian fleet will deploy some frigates equipped with Calibr missiles that have been tested in Syria./
