In a World Economic Forum report presented on 17 September, it is estimated that 52 per cent of all tasks -- almost double the current rate -- will be completed by cars, displacing almost 75 million people from the workplace.
“by 2025 more than half of the work tasks will be carried out by equipment, compared to the current rate of 29 per cent”, the Swiss-based non-governmental organisation has said.
In the report titled “E The arrival of the workers 2018<18x1>, the organisation has said it considers that robots will replace people in the customer management sector, accounting, mail and industrial management.
At the same time, the report stresses that there will be an increase in demand for jobs that require <x0 human rehabilitation”, such as sales, marketing, consumer services, along with those related to online sales and social networks.
According to the report, the key challenge will be in the training phase of workers, especially in the field of <x0-creativeity, critical thought and determination”.
The report advises governments to prepare endangered workers from what are considered to be “major changes” in the quality and continuation of jobs.
