Today's referendum in Macedonia failed to receive the participation of 50 per cent of citizens, however, the ruling political class and analysts say this referendum has only been consultative, not with legal weight.
Thus, decision-making on the Greece-Macedonia name agreement will be passed to the Macedonian Assembly. It will take the votes of 80 MPs for this agreement to pass.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has said that if the deal does not pass the country will go to early elections, while DUI's Ali Ahmeti has said he hopes the opposition will not block Macedonia's unalterable path straight ahead NATO and the EU.
