Rama with teachers: We need skilled teachers. Politics must be taken out of the system.

Two weeks before the date when the school year is expected to resume 2018-2019, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Education Minister Lindita Nikolla received a teacher meeting.

The reception took place in the maps room, near the prime minister, while Rama presented to teachers and facilitating policies for 9-year and middle education.

We have significantly expanded this season, target group of children who get free books. Until yesterday it has been more difficult, but today we are able and therefore decided to provide free books for several categories of students”, the prime minister said.

Special teachers for children with different skills are another concern for Albanian education, while Rama indicated that the number of personnel for this category will increase this season.

“We now have the opportunity to increase the number of teachers working with children with different skills, making your work even easier, as well as the education of this category of children”, Rama said before teachers.

The prime minister said the government's goal is to offer free textbooks to all forced education students, that is, the 9-year system. He also indicated that he remains committed to reforming the education system, only to introduce capable teachers.

And we're witnesses today that in education they're getting more skilled through the selection we're applying. Regional Education Directorates will undergo a deep reform, to get politics out of the Albanian educational system”, Rama said.
