The head of the Kosovo Parliament's delegation for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA), Memli Krasniqi, said that at the meetings of these two days, many important topics for relations between the European Union and Kosovo have been discussed for dialogue on normalising relations with Serbia.
He at a media conference said that during the two days of the SAA fifth meeting, war crimes has been discussed and the way towards reconciliation, developments in the economy, rule of law and visa liberalisation issues.
Krasniqi: EP has given continued support to Kosovo
Our “thank us for the great support the European Parliament delegation to this Commission has consistently given to Kosovo, including in the recent EP vote to approve the free movement for Kosovo citizens, but also for a host of other questions”, Krasniqi said.
He added that they have adopted a final declaration, along with concrete recommendations, which, according to him, will be distributed during the day to become public.
While Tonino Picula, chairman of the European Parliament delegation (PE), said Kosovo will continue to be part of the EU agenda.
Picula: Kosovo to be in Europe
I think we got some good news in a row. Last week, the European Parliament held a positive vote on the LIBE committee. He gave confidence to Kosovo's future without visa requirements for Kosovo citizens, more than 420 members of the European Parliament voted it as a solution which would lift visa requirements for Kosovo citizens. Today, we testify once again that despite all differences, we are able to know what matters and what matters is that Kosovo is in Europe, put Kosovo forward and keep Kosovo as high as possible in the European Union agenda under difficult circumstances, because you know what is happening in the European Union. Enlargement is welcomed by a part of the European Union, while by the rest, let's say it is questioned”, Picula has stressed.
Otherwise, next March 13th and 14th of next year will be the SAA's next meeting in Strasbourg.
