That approval was made in order to combat police corruption.
Police officers will still be able to report on sexual acts, but only if any citizens complain.
According to Civil Movement Adviser Guadalupe Morfin Otero, the submitted reforms allow couples to exchange their love without fear from officers who threaten them with jail or money.
“The Act may cause annoyance, but if there is no complaint, the police cannot act, only if it comes to minors, which is considered violation”.
According to a survey conducted by students at public and private universities, it turns out that 90 per cent of couples have faced police, because they have been asked to keep the prison, or to give money to avoid further procedures.
