Kosovo imports water mostly from Serbia

In all, 25 million gallons [25 million L] of water was imported during 2016, and in 2017, a total of 15 million gallons [28 million L] of 6 million euros were imported.
Kosovo has mostly imported water from Serbia during 2016 and 2017. In 2016, 12.3 million liters of water, worth 1.8m euros, were imported from Serbia.
In second place on the list of countries from which Albania is most imported. A total of 8.9 million gallons [8.9 million L] of water were imported during 2016, worth 1.6m euros.
The third on the list, according to Kosovo Customs statistics, is listed in Slovenia. A total of 1.6m litres of water worth 894 thousand euros have been imported from Slovenia to Kosovo.
Following Slovenia comes Croatia, from which Kosovo during 2016 imported 1.1 million liters of water worth 296.5 thousand euros. The list of five countries most imported is Italy, writes the Economic Bulletin.
From Italy to Kosovo, 401,000 liters of water have been introduced, which cost 321 thousand euros.
Even during 2017, Serbia retains water imports. A total of 12m liters of water have been introduced from the northern neighbour in Kosovo, worth 1.8m euros. In contrast to 2016, Serbia's water import has declined by the amount of about 353 thousand liters of less water.
In second place, even in 2017, Albania is again listed. From it to Kosovo through Customs have entered 11.7m litres of water worth 2m euros. From its third position even in 2017, Slovenia has not moved from which 1.7 million liters of water have been imported, costing 897 thousand euros.
The fourth on the list, as one of the countries most imported water in Kosovo, is still Croatia. Of it, 1.2 million liters of water, worth 333 thousand euros, have been imported from Kosovo.
Greece closed five of its largest water importers by 2016 when Italy closed the list.
From Greece during 2017, 698 thousand liters of water have been imported, costing 112.9 thousand euros.
