After meetings with Kosovo's president and prime minister, US Senator Ron Johnson has been hosted for dinner by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj.
At this meeting, Hoxhaj and Johnson have discussed developments in Kosovo, the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans, as well as relations and dialogue on normalisation being held between Kosovo and Serbia.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoxhaj said it is working on reaching a final agreement with Serbia, which must result in mutual recognition between the two states and Kosovo's membership in the United Nations.
He stressed that the agreement reached must have guarantees of implementation by the European Union and the US.
“Very good exchange with Senator Ron Johnson about political developments, challenges and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans. Grateful to the US for continued support of Kosovo and the dialogue process with Serbia, the process which must end with mutual recognition and Kosovo membership at the UN”, Hoxhaj has declared.
