Below is former Minister Hasani's full statement:
Dear friends,
Fellow workers,
Dear citizens of Kosovo,
I feel it for duty and need to give you an explanation after recent events.
As you know, I am no longer part of the Government of Kosovo, namely the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Being minister of your state is an honor and a privilege, but not under circumstances such as in Kosovo.
The day I joined politics and was appointed minister, I knew it would be a difficult journey. I vowed that day to my family, to friends and people in this country, that I will not compromise evil. I have accepted this duty to work for the good of the people of this country.
I hope that while I've been running with MTI, I've managed to tell you the stop of evil, to manage important segments that affect the lives of the citizens of Kosovo, that local producers have offered proper institutional support and regulation of legal infrastructure.
All the good things we've done in the Ministry of Trade and Industry this year could not be thought of without professional work and the dedication of all the staff of this ministry.
I want to thank all my colleagues at MTI, department directors, workshops, my staff for the unspoiled work. Along with the diligent MTI people over a year, we have done jobs that have not been done for a long time. So I give thanks to everyone alone.
