Last weekend, the government “Haradinaj” has completed its first year of operation, while it is estimated that it has failed to meet promises of visa liberalisation and the formation of the military within three months, as Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj had promised. Furthermore, this Government is estimated to have made scandalous decisions, such as it is for the increase of salaries for the government, for the appointment of about 75 deputy ministers, for the pardoning of debts of water bookmakers, for accepting the 53m euros' sentence for “Bechtel Enka” and other. And the Assembly in this period has been marked by the failure of many plenary sessions because of lack of quorum
Visa liberalisation within three months of the start of the new government's work, as well as the formation of the Kosovo Army within that period have been two of the largest candidate promises for prime minister by the coalition PAN Ramush Haradinaj, during last year's election campaign for early parliamentary elections. However, Kosovo citizens are still without liberalisation and Kosovo is without military, even though in the weekend we left behind it has become a year of the constitution and forming of government “Haradinaj”, writes the newspaper “Zri” today.
Opposition parties and political analysts say that during this one-year period the government “Haradinaj” has failed to fulfill pre-election promises, as well as the governing programme, even that government is marked by scandalous decisions. They also estimate that the Assembly has failed to fulfill the legislative agenda, while they say MPs have been taken with insults and insults towards each other rather than have carried out the duties they owe.
