The head of the Cuban state, which took over power left by Raul Castro on April 19th, said it was in favour of recognising “marriage among people without any restrictions”.
In an interview for TV Telesur, he said that acting this way was “part of eliminating any kind of discrimination in society”.
This support of the president comes at a time when Cuba is in the phase of constitutional changes, which so far stipulates marriage between a man and a woman.
