Among the dead are women and children. The commissionary influence, Paul Steele, said it was a <x0-tragic incident”, but there are no continuing security concerns, the BBC reports.
Meanwhile, police have arrested one person in his 20s. It has not yet been made known whether victims have family ties.
Stele said the forensics teams have come to the scene and are trying to figure out how the event happened.
In July, a 19-year-old was charged with killing two children and their mother. This event had also occurred on the outskirts of Perth.
Just two months earlier, seven people had been found dead on a property in the rural area of Osmington, located 20 miles [280 km] south of Perth.
This was considered the worst event since 1996. Police had treated this case as murder and suicide, saying Peter Miles had killed his six relatives and then himself.
