Speaking at a conference in London in front of the British Science Festival, Professor Jim Al-Khali, the future president of the British Science Association, warned that artificial intelligence is a greater concern than climate change and even terrorism, broadcasts Indesksonline.
He said: until perhaps a few years ago, I was asked what is the most urgent and important conversation we need to have about our future, I could have said climate change, or one of the other major challenges facing humanity, such as terrorism, anti-obic resistance, the threat of pandemics, or world poverty.
But today I'm sure the most important conversation we need to have is for the future of Artificial Intelligence and Technology. It will dominate what happens to all these other issues for better or worse.
