Chief Prime Minister Kadri Wessel has indicated that on the occasion of marking the 85th anniversary of the murder of hero Hasan Pristina, he has demanded that Pristina's remains be brought to Kosovo.
Wessel has said that Hasan Pristina's remains should be buried at state ceremonies, near where former President Ibrahim Rugova is buried, and the symbol of resistance Adem Demaci.
On the 85th anniversary of the death, we remember Hasan Pristina, Albania's great hero of Independence and the founder of the National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo. In this year's national honour for Gjergj Kastriot-Skenderbeun, and in the context of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the “National Assembly of Kosovo”, I have taken the initiative for Hasan Pristina's remains to be brought into Kosovo and at a state ceremony buried in Pristina, at the place where Ibrahim Rugova, Kosovo's first president and Ademi Demacci, the symbol of national resistance in Kosovo”, Veselin wrote.
He has also made it known that for this he has asked the authorities for letters in Albania.
For this purpose I have sent a letter to state authorities in Tirana to support us in this significant venture for the memory and state identity of Kosovo. Kosovo does not forget its own sons, its heroes. They, as always, turn the last of their battles from”, writes Wessel.
