(8 years ago)Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj earlier, through a reaction, has indicated against re-enforcement of the borders between Kosovo and Serbia -- adding that redefining borders and exchanging territories is the invitation for new tragedies in the Balkans. <x)
“Continued public discussion on redillusion of borders and exchange of territories is an invitation for new tragedies in the Balkans, which leads to destabilisation, uncertainty and risks long-term political and security investments for stability and peace in Kosovo and the region. As prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, I will continue firmly to stand against these destructive ideas and call on all friendly countries and international contributing institutions for Kosovo to reject destructive ideas and not allow them to reach the decision-making table”, Haradinaj's reaction was said.
That is why President Hashim Thaci, who has said that <x0 calls for war and new tragedies in the Balkans belong to last century's mentality and as such, only deserve to be thrown into the basket”.
President Thaci's irreverent reaction:
All Western states, our allies, guarantors of peace and security in the Balkans are making efforts and calls for peace, stability and achievement of the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. This agreement implies mutual recognition and secure perspective of Kosovo's membership in the EU, NATO and the UN. But unfortunately, individuals assigned to our country, with their actions trying to create panic and confusion. Kosovo, despite that, remains committed to dialogue and achievement of the final peace agreement. Calls for war and new tragedies in the Balkans belong to the mentality of the past century, and as such, deserve only to be thrown into the basket.
