Adding the number of employees to the prime minister has forced the finance ministry that officials of several organisational units, which for years have had offices at the Government building in “Square. Skenderbeu”, transfer them to private objects. This will cost Kosovo taxpayers less than 12,600 euros a month or 151,200 euros a year, Koha Ditore writes today.
Although authorities had promised that in a short time public institutions would leave private objects, in reality the opposite has occurred, since the amount of rent - paying means has increased year after year. Based on official data from the Ministry of Finance during this year's January-March period, rent expenditures have increased by 22 percent, or at 1.57 million to 1.92 million. Given that by the end of the year, Kosovo taxpayers will cost more than 7.6m euros in rent expenditures.
Property Tax Department officials, Department of Internal Investigations, European Integrity and Policy Co-ordination, Central Harmony Department, Central Department for Private Partnership, and Financial Reporting Division, which have been located in the Kosovo Government building located at “Square. Skenderbeu”, located on the private object at “Tring Smajli.
