Wessel stated that the opposition with the initiative for extraordinary session is panicking and lying and disinforming Kosovo citizens. According to him, the opposition's actions are dangerous for the country and aim to fuel tensions and then violent protests.
In his response, Ahmeti has said that real violence and instability are “smangia sessions on behalf of preserving peace and stability”.
“Kadri Wessel has called it absurd and unnecessary to call the opposition Parliament's extraordinary session for dialogue with Serbia. Who? Chairman of the House. Where? In a parliamentary republic. When? When the president of the country (his friend) Hashim Thaci engages in “border correction” with a state that does not recognise the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, which Kadri Wessel has mentioned. The state institutions and the Constitution of the Republic, which Kadri Veselin has mentioned, are not the dictatorship of power and the disregard of the majority opposition in the Parliament”, has written Ahmeti on Facebook.
According to Ahmeti, it is the system's violence and the threat to constitutional and legal order when the chiefparliamentary “threatens and frightens the opposition due to the invitation of a parliamentary session by the opposition”.
“Hard to have an anti-democratic thinker rather than politically oppose the idea of developing a parliamentary session! The parliamentary session is the very fundamental principle of the democratic state! That parliament consists of the people's elected in free elections. The violence of the system and the threat to constitutional and legal order is when the chairman of a Parliament threatens and fears the opinion due to the invitation of a parliamentary session by the opposition. When the president ignores the Parliament especially before negotiations about territorial integrity began, with the state not familiar with citizenship”, Ahmeti added.
Chairman The PSD has added that “instead of the threats disguised with lectures on democracy, Kadri Wessel let the session invite. It's legal duty, if not political will”.
Ahmeti has pledged that the opposition is more interested than ever to debate and take responsibility for the dialogue.
“Yes! We are more interested than ever in arguing and taking responsibility for the dialogue. For his legitimacy, representation, platform, and oversight. In the vault, the people's representatives. Qualified majority! Because there can be no dialogue with Serbia without the opposition. For citizenship, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo”, it has written in the end.
