The weekend finds all the capitalians with a keen desire to flee from the dust and noise toward a different place, which gave you silence.
The possibilities are numerous among them, located only 18km from the capital, and are the village of Petrala with historic fortress.
Within a small territory, there are choices such as cultural tourism, culinary, greenery and agrarian tourism. All melt among them, remaining among the most visited trains in the suburbs of Tirana.
Petrala's fortress rises on a rocky hill above the village of the same name, having a triangular shape with two monitoring towers. Its first construction belongs to the antiquity period, while today's form dates back to the XV century.
It was part of the Kruja Tower's beacon and defense system. This castle was under the command of Skenderbe's sister, Mamica Kastriot.
In the castle environments, as happens in all towers in Albania, there is restaurant service. From there, a beautiful view appears toward the Erzen Valley, the olive hills, and the surrounding mountains.
But it is not only natural beauty that attracts numerous local and world visitors, history is another strength. Those who hear the history of the castle remain amazed and rush to click on the Internet to find more data, wanting to build a clearer picture of what they see blending into the past. / ATSH/
