MTI orders to remove the toy “Slime” from Kosovo market, dangerous for children

The Miss Trade and Industry has ordered the departure of Kosovo's market of over 5,000 toys per child, as it found to be dangerous for children. In toys “Slive with Barrel Overwrite - O-Slime”, according to the MTI, has been found to be beyond the Bori chemical element, which in use by children can cause permanent damage to the reproductive system.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry has decided to sequencing toys for children bearing the “Barre inscription I - O-Slime”, which is kind of plasticline.
The decision, secured by Insander newspaper, is said to contain 5 thousand and 184 pieces of this toy, imported by economic operator “Luca shpk” with headquarters in Skenderaj.
Under the decision, the economic operator is obliged to make a full withdrawal from the insurrection of all products per child within three days.
Even the complaint brought against this decision according to the MTI does not prevent his execution.
“In order to verify the safety components, Market Inspectorate with 10/04/2018 in the inspection chip, economic operator “Luca” has banned the market for children's toy products “Slime with Burrel Overwrite - O-Slime in quantity 5184 pieces”, says in decision, the Inseder reports.
The inspector reports that during the period the product has been banned from the Market Inspectorate, the RAPEX system has reportedly also been banned by Greek market supervision authorities on suspicion that the product poses a risk for use, says Insader.
The ban on this toy is done according to the MTI because it is found to be beyond the Bori chemical element, which in child use can damage child health as is permanent damage to the reproductive system.
After testing the product in an accredited laboratory, it has shown that the same contains an advanced amount of Bori chemical element and as such during use or contact from children can harm the child's health by causing permanent damage to the reproductive system. The product does not meet basic security requirements defined by regulation”, the decision is said to be reasoned.
