Kosovo champion in Judo, Majlinda Kelmendi, has been operating on his back because of a long-standing problem. The operation was successful, and the golden medalist is expected to be fully healed in October.
Kosovo Federation of Judiest sports director Driton Kuka has indicated that Majlinda will be recovered in time to take part in the qualifying rates for the 2020 Olympics, which will be held in Japan.
“Milinda has successfully passed the operation on her back. It's nothing serious and now she's fine. The operation has now been made to have time to recover for the Olympic Games. We expect to recover in October”, Driton Kuka Express said.
Kuka has thanked the Ministry of Health for providing treatment to Majlinda Kelmendi and has said they are negotiating to reach an agreement under which Kosovo athletes would be supported more by the Ministry of Health..
