The Parliamentary Committee for Civil Rights, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament on 29 August has been on the agenda of visa liberalisation for Kosovo, European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo Igor Sholtes has announced in a telephone conversation with Integration Minister Lis Hoxha.
According to a report issued by the European Integration Ministry, in the conversation Sholtes has expressed its optimism that Kosovo will get the green light to move on, offering full support to accelerate visa liberalisation decision for Kosovo citizens.
On the other hand, Minister Hoxha has informed MP Sholtes that Kosovo is continuing the reforms and implementation of the SAA and demanded that the decision-making process in terms of visa liberalisation be accelerated. According to the Ministry's statement it is running, Hoxha has stressed that Kosovo citizens are clear that they are on the verge of visa liberalisation and are looking forward to free movement.
She has announced the rapporteur for Kosovo's awareness campaign for visa liberalisation, which the European Integration Ministry has launched, with particular emphasis on informing citizens about what visa liberalisation means, as well as sanctions that may follow in the event of misuse...
