Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, during his official visit to Croatia under the Dubrovnik Forum, has today held a bilate meeting with Croatia's prime minister, Andrej Plenkovic.
Prime Minister Haradinaj has expressed his thanks for the continued support Croatia has given and is continuing to give to the Republic of Kosovo in its international consolidation.
As the prime minister's office reports, Haradinaj said the Kosovo government appreciates excellent relations with the Croatian state by taking it as a good example for Euro-Atlantic travel.
“Croatia traditionally supported Kosovo, even when Kosovo did not have an equal constitutional position with other federal entities”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Seeking that relations between the two countries deepen even more, Prime Minister Haradinaj said Croatia is the key economic partner of Kosovo, and this trend will continue in the future through increased investments that will affect the growth of economic development and the well-being of Kosovo citizens.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said Croatia's support as an EU member is of particular importance for the processes Kosovo is going through, with particular emphasis on visa liberalisation, membership in the Council of Europe, INTERPOL and U NESTO.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said Kosovo institutions have consistently been committed to the integration of all communities, including the Croatian community.
Meanwhile, Croatia's prime minister, Andrej Plenkovic, said Croatia will be a supporter of Kosovo on its Euro-integration path. He also said Croatia will be Kosovo's partner and lobby for empowering international subjectivity and membership in international organisations.
