In a Facebook post, Haradinaj has written that redillusion of borders and exchange of territories leads to destabilisation, uncertainty and risks long-term political investments.
“Consistent public discussion on redillusion of borders and exchange of territories is an invitation for new tragedies in the Balkans, which leads to destabilisation, uncertainty and risks long-term political and security investments for stability and peace in Kosovo and the region”, has written Haradinaj on Facebook until he has thanked Western states and America for their commitment to Kosovo.
Kosovo's “people are grateful for the long-term engagement of the United States of America, the European Union and other friendly countries of the international community in our country. We are always grateful for their outstanding role, support and contribution to all processes of building and consolidating the citizenship of Kosovo, strengthening our institutions and advancing peace and prosperity for all Kosovo citizens”, Haradinaj has written.
For more than two decades, the people of Kosovo have committed themselves to facing the painful legacy of the destructive past and to switch to a spirit of reconciliation and forgiveness and is life-resistant for protection, promotion and respect of diversity in our country”, he added.
Haradinaj has written that Kosovo has so far paid an expensive price for the peace it gained and that the state should not risk restarting a new NATO intervention.
“We have been determined and we have worked unstoppable, in particular, to establish good relations with all our neighbours, including the Republic of Serbia. We have paid an expensive price for the peace we have today and we do not want to reenter dangerous scenarios to resume a new NATO intervention”, Haradinaj wrote.
The Legal and Obligable Final Agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will be a crucial step towards ensuring stability and peace in our region. A mutual recognition and lasting peace must be the only loan result from this” agreement, he has written.
Haradinaj, at the end of the post, has written that “will continue strong against these destructive ideas and I call on all friendly countries and international contributing institutions for Kosovo to oppose destructive ideas and prevent them from reaching the decision-making table”.
