Kosovo Government chief Ramush Haradinaj will support an agreement with Serbia, but the same should not include changing Kosovo's borders.

His position in this regard, Kosovo's prime minister has reiterated today at a media conference where he and the party he heads would welcome a Kosovo-Serbia agreement that would result in recognition of Kosovo's independence. But at the same time, he said they give support to preserving the country's sovereignty.

“I hope now we have a clarity and all together to agree, first; that dialogue should occur and that a binding legal agreement, mutual recognition of Kosovo-Serbia, and second; that this agreement does not dare include the destruction of sovereignty, territorial integrity or the movement of Kosovo borders. I believe that these two topics reconcile all of us in Kosovo, and as the Alliance, but I, as head of government, will give support to the preservation of sovereignty, the territorial integrity of Kosovo's borders, but also welcomed and supported the achievement of an agreement that would result with recognition of Kosovo-Serbia”, he said.

Asked by journalists about the protest that will be held tonight on request for: the dismissal of Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi, the judiciary vetoing and clearing veterans' lists, following scandal with swollen lists, the prime minister only said he respects everyone's right to protest.

There's no particular thing on this subject, it's not new, we continue discussions, America has an attitude that has long communicated to us in its view of the process. America welcomes a Kosovo-Serbia legal binding agreement that would ensure recognition of Kosovo by Serbia and moving forward. For protest I am no longer aware of which is which, however, we respect the right to protest, legitimate democratic right”, he said.

Before the media conference, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj hosted the United States Ambassador Greg Delaway today.

The US ambassador to Kosovo, the prime minister gave a thank-you note for his work in the Republic of Kosovo, since Delaway is at the end of his mandate.

The meeting with Delaway was closed to the media, and was called ordinary by Haradinaj.

Haradinaj was asked after meeting by journalists even about the opposition's warnings of the initiative of a resolution that would prevent President Hashim Thaci and everyone from discussing Kosovo's borders in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

He said that now and how long he has actually asked MPs to take such actions.

And I'm sorry that the Parliament is following the processes, and I've been giving this opportunity to the Parliament, exactly what they want now with the resolution, there's a whole lot I've gone to the Parliament to pray to take responsibility, take a stand. There has been confusion within the opposition in the first place”, the prime minister has said.

Opposition parties in Kosovo have declared that in early September they will hold extraordinary hearings in which a resolution will be established. The same will require that no one have the right to negotiate the borders of the state of Kosovo.

According to the opposition, if the resolution is not taken into account by President Thaci, and on September 7th in Brussels he discusses the border issue, then they will mobilise with protests.

Kosovo's president has recently shown the idea of correcting Kosovo's borders, but for which he has not received support from any of the political spectrum in Kosovo./G. The tent.
