Hahn at the Balkan leaders' joint conference at the Alpbach European Forum, which has been held in Austria, has said that the European Union has realized several years ago it is their responsibility to care for European countries and not to leave it to other countries somewhere in the world.
“If you see what has been achieved, what has been adopted since February, I think it is strong evidence of what is possible if there is a clear European perspective, whether the criteria are clear, because one of the criteria is that we will not accept member states that have no political conflicts, and this has already brought positive results, referring to the agreement between Skopje and Athens, but also between Skopje and Pristina, or between Pristina and Podgorica on the border conflict, and we can now testify what we have seen yesterday about developments that have been doing with the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that is something we should support those who discuss these issues. I think President Bah's comment is also important and must be remembered, that once a deal is reached, he should be respected because this is also something we can learn from the past”
