This group through this study presented the danger posed by the idea for correction and exchange of territory in the relationship with Kosovo citizenship.
It highlights the consequences that this idea could cause to the international legitimacy of Kosovo's citizenship, and how an agenda like that counters the current version and model of citizenship.
The research team for legal studies, Progress Kryeziu, is the interethnic character that has offered Kosovo international support.
“As the main one, the report finds the correction of the territory contradicts essentially the citizenship of Kosovo, because reviewing the borders on ethnic lines, as well as speaking, is contrary to Kosovo's sui generis traits, which so far have provided it with the declaration of independence and citizenship and international support of citizenship and the break-up from these features makes Kosovo hostage to the international arena, giving the Serbian state the last word for the international legitimacy of Kosovo<1>, he has said.
In his view, discussing the matter can lead to a painful compromise. He added that Kosovo dares under no circumstances to accept any other form of recognition from Serbia except actual formal recognition, and only that allows membership in major international organisations.
Any other form than actual recognition cannot enable Kosovo membership in major international organisations and any other form that has a kind of two interpretation meanings does not ensure Kosovo recognition by states that have been reluctant to do so so so far. That's why it diminishes political power during the negotiation of gaining recognition... ...Kosovo has to restore its emphasis, for its importance to Serbia for the integration of Serbia into the European Union, and not to shift it to the importance that Serbia has for its international legitimacy, because let us not forget that only so does Kosovo manage to address the very important issues of dialogue, as dialogue does not lead to end without addressing these issues of national importance such as the full extent of order in the north, war crimes, pension funds, victims, and the most vulnerable case, of the property<1> he said.
Kryeziu added that Kosovo and Serbia are entering a final phase of dialogue and any kind of Kosovo rejection of an agreement could be described as destructive behaviour and Kosovo being named in dialogue as a problem.
He explained that their study is based on the documents for international law.
