While President Thaci speaks of UN membership and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia, what international sources show does not appear to be on the same line, Koha Ditore writes today.
First, from Belgrade at no moment has it been heard, either publicly or privately, that Serbia will recognise independent Kosovo if territories are exchanged.
The issue of Kosovo's membership in the UN, as is often mentioned, is not one that Vuciqi can decide; it is Russia and China that block Kosovo's membership in the UN, not Serbia. Consequently, an agreement with Serbia is not said to change Moscow, Beijing stance
