Associations released from the KLA war, Dukagjin branches: Decan, Peja, Gjakova, Istog have reacted to the war debate in this area.
The reaction is said to have dropped 920 martyrs in the Dukagjin area, and about 1650 are warriors who have been wounded on the fronts of war.
In addition, they have expressed full support for Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's statements and have sought to halt dangerous trends against the KLA war.
Below:
We have witnessed with concern the ongoing debate about the Liberation War and the tendency to degrade it by various factors, which seem to be acting more synchronized than ever before.
As for the debate over the war in Dukagjin, we must recall the opinion of the following facts:
1. The war in Dukagjin began on 24 March 1998, which falls one year before the NATO bombings and after its intensifying, since April 1998 there is no day in which at least one witness has fallen. There are 920 Witnesses who fell to ZO of Dukagjin, and a third of them just as members of local headquarters that were founded in almost all settlements in the Dukagjin municipalities. About 1650 fighters were wounded on the front lines. It is noteworthy that only the village of Glodjanda 27 witnesses.
2. Apart from the local headquarters in which large and small were mobilised, there are 8 brigades operating in Dukagjini's territory, which have been the terror of the enemy, with which the books and documentaries performed by Serbs, war participants or journalists.
3. Due to losses suffered on the ground by the KLA, Yugoslav forces committed in Dukagjin the terrible massacres in civilians, such as in Mea, Lybeic, Sik, Beleg and many other locations, executing thousands of unarmed civilians. Peja, Decani, Istog and Gjakova also top cities in Kosovo in terms of the extent of the destruction, which totals 74%.
All these facts, they support the argument of the severity of the war that took place in Dukagjin, and if someone thinks that this whole war makes a handful of people, then it's wrong, because the mobilization, which peaked in June 1998, gathered tens of thousands of armed fighters who were hard on the long road across the Nemuna Bjeshks.
In conclusion, the Associations released from the KLA war in Dukagjin seek to halt this dangerous tendency against the Liberation War and are in full support of ZO Dukagjini Commander Ramush Haradinaj's statements to benefit this debate, the number of veterans and all other issues raised.
