Through a video message, Delawi said they are committed to Kosovo's sovereignty.
“We believe the essence of a Kosovo- Serbia must come from the dialogueators themselves. But there are limits to what we will accept. We are committed to Kosovo; we are committed to its sovereignty and economic success. We are fully aware of the historic role the United States has played to end the conflict in the Balkans in general and in Kosovo in particular”, Delawi said.
He also urged that there be no destabilising vocabulary and especially involving violence.
“We don't want to go back to the old days; we don't want to see an agreement that would create more problems than it would solve. We want to help reach an agreement that is applicable, sustainable and contributes to stability in the region. Any agreement should ensure security for all citizens, including vulnerable groups, Kosovo Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church”, he said.
He added that such statements undermine opportunities for a solution and increase tensions. Violence and threats of violence are unacceptable.
Delaway also mentioned the arrival of several young diplomats at the US Embassy.
