Kosovo's “Police Inspector on the 08.08.2018, under official office, has begun the preliminary investigation into several police officials of the Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova over allegations of neglect and failure to perform”, a municipality of IPK said.
The first investigations say the woman had called the police hours before the murder after her former husband had threatened her.
Police have already failed to arrest the double-killer.
In a issued communiqué, State Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi has asked the Founding Prosecutor in Gjakova to urgently begin collecting information to verify any inaction, which could be described as an element of any criminal act.
If such actions were found immediately issued for the launch of investigations against each person involved in performing actions or inactions, which he was obliged to undertake, which have been linked to threats against the woman and daughter killed several days ago in the village of Brkomac of the Gjova municipality”, it is said in the media communique.
