South Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri seems very committed to the country's current political events, and in particular the issue of exchange of territories, writes Periscopi.
It seems that Bahtiri is also opposed to this idea. He has even posted photos and a description of his meeting with former Albanian Prime Minister and President Sali Berisha in his Facebook account today.
Bahtiri has said it is “woe to see how Vuciqi and Serbia their idea of devouring Kosovo's territory are even selling it to Pristina people”, alluding to President Thaci.
This is his full Facebook post:
It was a pleasure to meet in Tirana with former President and prime minister of the Republic of Albania Sali Berisha, with whom we talked about the situation in Mitrovica and the recent developments in the country. Mr. Berisha highly praised my extraordinary efforts and contributions made to make Mitrovica a developed and prosperous municipality for all its citizens, regardless of their ethnic affiliation.
It was a common agreement that the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo is vulnerable and holy to all Albanians, even though it is great misery to see how Serbia and Serbia's idea to devour Kosovo's territory is selling it to certain people in Pristina, even though all Albanians know Serbia does not have even a meter of its land in Kosovo.
Berisha's commitment to recent developments regarding Kosovo is contributing to peace in the Balkans. So I had the honor of talking to a very precious man, the best known Albanian politician, such as Mr. Berisha. We talked about Mitrovica and the major issues of Kosovo and Albanians. I found powerful support in Mr. Berisha for my stances regarding Mitrovica and recent developments, respectively, for not allowing the loss of any palm of Kosovo territory to be lost. Mr. Berisha is strongly committed to peace in Kosovo and the Balkans. I thank him very much for the support he gave me and for his continued interest in Mitrovica, Kosovo and the national issue.
